Susan Hines-Kennedy, an optimist and advocate for persons with different abilities, joined the KRRC team in 2006, coming from a health care background of Long-term care, Acute care, Forensics and working with persons with different abilities in community settings.

She has also been a faculty member at Nova Scotia Community College, as well as Dalhousie University, in teaching and instructing roles.

Susan has held different management and senior positions within the organization and has sat on various committees over the years including: Diverse Abilities of Nova Scotia, Continuing Care Council of Nova Scotia, Provincial Workplace Violence Provincial Initiatives, Western Zone Long Term Care Administrators and is a signatory of the Nova Scotia Health and Safety Charter.

Susan holds a Health Science Degree from Dalhousie university with a major in nursing.
